Abstract

Abstract: The vocational education and training sector is a field that nurtures talented creators. It is only natural that every graduate from this field should be creative. So, can we measure the creative thinking of graduates in this field? To answer this question, we introduce a research study that trialed a specific training method and evaluated its results. This study marks the first time Torrance's test for determining creative thinking levels has been applied in the sector to assess outcomes. The STEAM club affiliated with the Construction Polytechnic College has been conducting training for two years. In the 2024-2025 academic year, an analysis of the creative thinking levels of 34 participating students showed an improvement from an average score of 22.5 to 36.5. From this, we conclude that the program we are implementing is effective. The details of the STEAM program's implementation and the research are further elaborated in this text.
