Abstract

In 2019-2021, The Mongolian national institute for educational research has performed research “Development of Mongolian children aged 6-17 years”. The purpose of the research was to define characters of physical, social and cognitive development of Mongolian children.

 The aim of this article is to introduce survey result of generalization thinking on children aged 11-17 years.

Research methods for children development are psychological cognitive tests.

According to research finding, most adolescence who are 11-17 years old able to think in realistic way commonly. The adolescence   thinking demonstrates that has classification operation than generalization. Specifically, in the classification operation, they likely classify things according to external appearance and characteristics.  Specially, study results shown that the adolescences’ ability to explain words in core meaning is no good. This result may be related to the adolescences’ poor focal attention. Furthermore, the study results shown that adolescence thinking and verbal memory has correlative connection. Therefore, teachers and parents supporting for verbal memory is one way of abstract thinking development.
