Энэхүү судалгаагаар оюутны суралцах төлөв ба хичээл сонголтын хамаарлыг оюутны өгөгдөл дээр тулгуурлан шинжилсэн. Судалгаанд баталгаажуулах хүчин зүйлийн шинжилгээ (CFA) болон корреляцийн аргуудыг ашиглан оюутны сурлагын амжилтыг тодорхойлогч сурлагын идэвхжил болон академик гүйцэтгэл гэсэн хоёр хүчин зүйлийн бүтэц баталгаажиж, нийт дисперсийн 73.9%-ийг тайлбарлаж байна. Судалгааны үр дүнгээс харахад суралцах хугацаа, сурлагын идэхвжил хооронд хүчтэй эерэг хамаарал (r=0.77) ажиглагдсан боловч суралцах хугацаа GPA-ийн хамаарал сул (r=0.11) байна.
